01Brief
This Ivey teaching case addressed workplace gender diversity, a subject where a diagram can accidentally make a claim the research does not support, and where students arrive with strong prior positions. The case is taught internationally, so the visuals had to prompt discussion rather than settle it, stay strictly faithful to the underlying data, and meet Ivey Publishing's academic print and review standards.
02Approach
- 01Designed a clean grid and typographic hierarchy to present complex academic research on workplace gender diversity clearly for corporate and executive readers
- 02Selected a restrained editorial colour palette and geometric accents to avoid typical corporate clichés while maintaining visual gravity
- 03Laid out the research findings with prominent pull quotes, structured tables, and balanced whitespace to keep the long-form analysis readable and engaging
03Outcomes
- Peer-reviewed case visuals published internationally through Ivey Publishing
- Data visualization that opens classroom debate instead of prescribing a conclusion
- Strict fidelity to the research, with no visual amplification of findings
- Completed a three-case body of work establishing a consistent Ivey information-design standard
