A book is a specific kind of design object. It sits in your hand, it's read start-to-finish, and the reader can put it down at any page and come back a week later expecting it to still make sense. Print budgets, paper choices, image reproduction and typography compound on every page. There is no undo once the box arrives from the printer.

1. 01Set the narrative architecture with the writer before laying out a single page - chapter length, image placement, pacing, breathing room
2. 02Designed a typographic system built for long-form reading first, image sequencing second, and cover / marketing surface third
3. 03Directed the imagery selection and placement so photography served the writing instead of interrupting it
4. 04Managed print production, paper stock, binding and pre-press with the printer - the parts of book work that don't get talked about but decide whether the object survives shipping and shelf life
5. 05Built the marketing collateral - cover treatments, launch imagery, social sequences, editorial excerpts - so promotion pulled from the same design system
6. 06Held the editorial voice consistent across body text, captions, endnotes, colophon and marketing - one voice, not five
